In an effort to honor the township's veterans and active-duty service members, rising Livingston High School junior Shona Kumar has launched a GoFundMe campaign in support of the recently-introduced Hometown Heroes program. The initiative, led by Livingston Township, will feature personalized banners displayed throughout the town. Each banner will recognize and celebrate the service of a veteran or active-duty member with ties to Livingston. "These banners are more than just decorations," said Kumar. "They are powerful symbols of sacrifice, courage, and unwavering patriotism. They remind us daily of the heroes who have defended our freedom - many of whom are our neighbors, friends, and family members."

“All funds raised will go directly toward honoring our veterans,” she emphasized. “With community support, we can make sure no one is left unrecognized.”
